At about 4:00 this afternoon, we had 2.8" in the gauge. Still raining. Farm fields around me are flooding. One bean field was planted Sunday.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

.90 inches here yesterday. Needs to dry out now so I can finish planting my garden. Tomatoes, Peppers, corn, Zuchinni, squash, and cucumbers.

Just heard that they think a small tornado went through about 2 1/2 miles southeast of me. Mostly tree damage i guess. I'm going to look after a bit. No wind damage here.

Rainfall totals were .93" at the ranch & 1.37" in Bugtussle the past 24 hrs. Not the heaviest totals but this ain't a coffee shop contest, it's data. The rainfall data trended lighter as one travels east. Ellendale reported only .71" with Grand Meadow showing only .65". OMG for mosquitoes last nite after dark. Went out to feed the bottle lamb at 9:30. Opened the door to head towards the barn. Heard the familiar hum, same as in Canada in mid-July. Time to keep yer asset moving or you're a dead man.  :coffee:

It looked like 1.7" in the gauge early today, but it was still lightly raining. Checked again after we got back & it hadn't changed. Some light precip the whole way there & back today too, plenty of wind as well.

The old rain gauge read 1.2" this morning. Brings our total for the month of May to 5.9". Probably won't have to water the gardens this weekend.

Our gauge only says .07" this morning but the puddles in the driveway say more. Wonder if the wind direction if the maple tree didn't block most of it from getting in the weather station. I may need to find a new spot for it.

Staying damp here but not as excessive as some places. Dumped out .67" at the ranch & 1.67" in Bugtussle. Could see more standing water closer to town this a.m. Was a whopping 3.57" reported at the SROC in Waseca & a paltry .62" in Ellendale. Totals for May so far include 6.51" at the ranch, 8.01" in Bugtussle, & if the figure posted today is correct, 9.03" at the SROC in Waseca. NWS pretty much blew this one. They had ratcheted our forecast rainfall down to a tenth to a quarter inch overnite. For us here, been one of those springs where you'd better take the over.  :coffee:

SROC changed it to 1.19" in their updated & corrected version... :coffee:

https://sroc.cfans.umn.edu/weather

That puts them at only a measly 6.65" for the month.  :doah:
