I walked out about 7:35. It had just started snowing. I light north breeze.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Looks like it's outta here for now. 2.3" storm total. Landscape is white.. Looks & feels like winter again.  :coffee:

Snow is pretty much done. Still got a fair north wind. I can still see plenty of grass.

I think the sun is getting more potent. Quite a bit of the dusting of snow we got yesterday is gone.

It's been almost a year since I used my new snowblower.

We have 1 day in the 10-day with the high in the double digits here & that's Friday. There's ~ a 40% chance of snow that day too.

I hear ya, spose your truck doesn't even warm up before shutting it down, that's hard on a vehicle.  Talking -5 when I go in tomorrow but sinking further to -10 by 6.. I tell ya tho the angle of the sun makes it feel better when it's out nowadays.

It is -1 here and could see -27 tonight.  Like you said even though it is this cold the sun and no wind really helps.  Just picked up dog doo and had to put the dogs in the house.  Jakie's feet get cold fast.  He now runs to the pasture poops quick and runs back to me and we go in the garage to tend the fire.  Then we get all ready and run to the barn to grain Bucko.  Then run to the house and get them inside.

When we get around -10 or below, we usually let Poppy out first to do her business, then put her back in the house. Those little hind feet get pretty cold pretty fast on mornings like those. Talking -12 tomorrow so we'll probably go that route. Sunday nite thru Tuesday nite sound worse.

WCCO @ 4:00 said 10 more days of this before temps get back to near normal. Except for Friday, when they're talking snow, 1-2", mainly for the SE part of the state.

Amen, Roony. I just try to keep busy and not think about it.

The thing is we all bellyache about it, but then it seems like all of a sudden we have mosquitoes and humidity to beech about.

My dog does not like when it goes below zero. I have some booties that they use for sled dogs, but I haven’t bothered to use them. I just let him come back in sooner.
I did buy him a jacket that Costco had for about $10.00, but I left it at my second house. He really seemed to like it. I looked for another one, but all they had left were for little dogs.

We have thought about getting booties but wasn't sure what sizes.

The booties I have had for my dogs were not expensive and are meant only to be used on snow. They wouldn’t last long on pavement or gravel. They also weren’t very expensive. Almost like a sock with a Velcro belt to hold them on. I bought blaze orange just in case one slipped off in the snow, which only happened once.
Size is measured by placing a foot on top of a measuring tape.

I had tried more expensive ones that had rubber soles and went quite a way up my Gordon Setter’s legs. Didn’t work well—he flailed around in them and they made a graceful dog look like a klutz. Plus they were probably 4 times the price.

Up to 0! (and the crowd goes wild!) Tomorrow could be nasty here with winds up to 30 mph out of the southeast. We've got ~3" of snow to blow around now & with another 2" - 4", might be interesting. Shearing on Saturday so trying to keep the brood ewes dry may be an adventure. Fortunately there are only 16 or 17 of those. If I peel off some hunks off the round bale with the pitchfork and toss it inside, that might appease them until they can be shorn. The wife put some gloves on the floor register to dry after getting them soaked with lamb goo last nite. Poppy found them & chewed the tips off the fingers. Will likely be seeing Poppy terds with blue yarn in them in the yard.  :doah:

At least its pretty calm today. You must have more snow than we do Dotch. Don't let it all blow over here tomorrow.
You always get all the snow and wind.
