I got a 1.75 ltr. of both Tanqueray & VSOP for Valentine's Day so that'll hold me over until my tanker transport arrives.  :drinking: AccuWeather calling for 8"-12" accumulation here for Tuesday thru Thursday.  :snow2:

From Bill Borghoff, senior meteorologist at TC NWS:

The remarkable consistency continues with this week's 2-part system.  Very little has changed, aside from tightening the boundaries of the band as models continue to overlap with their solutions.  Still a 90% chance of 10-15", 50% for 15-20", and 10% for 25-30".  It's just about certain to be a high-end event, no matter what materializes.  A safe range is 12-24" for much of the southern half of MN.

Winter Storm Watch:

230 PM CST Sun Feb 19 2023

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT, Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of greater
than 12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph and
lead to areas of blowing snow, blizzard conditions possible.

* WHERE, Portions of central, east central, south central,
southeast and west central Minnesota and northwest and west
central Wisconsin.

* WHEN, From Tuesday evening through Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS, Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas
of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commutes. The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could
cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS, There will be two main waves of this event.
The first Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning will see
totals of 4 to 8 inches of snow. There will be a lull before
snow picks up again Wednesday evening where an additional 8 or
more inches of snow could fall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Yup....that 6 and a half FEET is going to be right in Glenn's front yard.

He will be making these by Friday..... :snow3: :snow3:

 Ours now says < 1" on Tuesday, but a 90% chance with 3-5" & 20-30 mph NW winds on Wednesday. Another inch possible, with high winds on Thursday.

20" seems to be the number they are using for the central part of this storm.  Yuck.  Stock up on everything and let it melt.   :sleazy:

The localized forecast is indicating 10" - 18" for here. That doesn't include Thursday's accumulation, yet, as they won't predict that far out. We are closer to the southern edge of the storm so we're less apt to see what areas between TC, Hutch, Redwood Falls, Marshall, Mankato & Faribault will based on their most recent probabilities.
