Very light snow here right now. Small flakes, almost like sugar coming down.

Pretty colors, but I doubt anybody's getting 24" of snow. Walz would shut the state down until June if that happened.

Olive...   How did we get along without them?   Ever hear about the Armistice Day Blizzard of 1940?    Killed 49 people in MN, half of them duck hunters.

Have read a few books about  that era.  On land and on the river.  SW MN really got hit hard too.  Hard to imagine.

The map on the 6:00 news here last night showed Mason City getting 8.6" by Thursday & us probably being just east enough to be more in the 3-6" area. They had Mason City with -19 WC at 5 this AM, so the front was already moving in.They're talkin a lot more about rain & freezing rain down here.

The latest map from the NWS. Thank god I live a mile into The People's Republic of Steele Co. The blizzard will stop at the Steele-Waseca Co. line! Roony gets all the good blizzards... :pouty:

I think we are going to get missed by most of this one.  Honestly we could use the moisture up here for spring run off.

We've gotten over 8 inches in Bismarck already today.  Started around 9 and hasn't stopped although it is very fluffy, so easy to get through.  Should be fun once the wind picks up.

1st wave just started here about 20 minutes ago. 2 ewes lambed this morning. Looks like potential for more on the way. Coincidence? Sometimes I don't think so.
