Yes, I hear you roony. I hope my house doesn't injure the peasants when it slides down the hill. That would be unfortunate.

.55" in the ranch gauge this a.m. & .78" in Bugtussle. Still some passing showers on my way into town earlier and looked like it was still raining at the ranch as of a few minutes ago. Go big or go home.

We had a couple of 10-15 minute showers pass through here yday between 4 & 5 where it rained kind of hard for a bit. I found .3" in the gauge this morning. There's a slight chance (~30%) of some more mid- afternoon today too. A better chance again tomorrow late AM to early PM.

We could see some big clouds south of us and I wondered how close they were to you Gunner.  It was about 4 or 5. So now I know.  :sleazy:

It is low 80's here.  Clouds are starting to build and chances of rain go up pretty soon.

After sheep washing & when finishing up chores it starts dripping again. Looks like so far this one is trending heavier towards I-90. Let's keep it that way... :coffee:

.02" was all from the showers between 6 & 7 p.m. Still makes 6 straight days with measurable precip. Looks like a 20% chance for later afternoon & tonite, then a 30% chance tomorrow.

The people at the resort where headed out by about 10 & we only had another .1" by then, so a bit over .5" this time. Radar sure looked like it was going to wrap back around all afternoon, but it kept breaking up just as it was about to get here.

Looked at the gauge about a half hour ago. .16" was all then. It's thundering again however. That or my stomach is growling really loud...⛈️

Somebody told me on a wet year like this you need to keep getting rain because the roots are so shallow. First time I heard that one. Actually the soybeans look decent where they're above water.

With corn that becomes true especially as it gets close to tasseling which some of the area corn is. Tassels showing in the 96 day hybrid in the plot by the golf course yesterday. Once it tassels, the root system is as big & deep as it will get. The soybeans look OK from the road but we're starting to see disease issues crop up in them. The wet weather & saturated soils have created an ideal environment for fungal pathogens including phytophthora & fusarium. Several have sent samples into the U & other labs after noticing areas of soybeans stunted & dying. It's pouring here now... :pouty:
