Just talked to a friend that lives a mile upriver.  They had 10-12" of snow the other day too.  They were here when it snowed.  He said it just kept coming down in big flakes all day.  The river was partially open yet so they are calling it lake effect snow along the river and the lake.  His brother a couple of miles from the lake hardly got anything.  We have 1-3" expected by Wed.

With the exception of one hole, St. Olaf Lake was almost entirely frozen over this a.m. Lake was crape when I went by. Measured 1/2" of snow in Bugtussle, with .05" of liquid equivalent precip melted out of it. Was similar at the ranch but still melting the sample out yet there. Poppy should have it read by the time I go home to let her out. 

Update: At the ranch, Poppy measured .6" of snow & .06" of liquid equivalent precipitation.

wind is definitely picking up here..........coming from Gunners place!!!!!! the #4 news lady said it would progressively increase throughout today!!!!!!
