Talking < 1/2" sleet & snow here tonite but the potential for .1" - .2" of ice accumulation tomorrow, topping out around 32 for a high. The worst thing is it could carry on into the evening. Not exactly what we were hoping to hear.

Have had a wintry mix including snow, freezing drizzle & of course, the dreaded graupel. Mostly snow presently as a small cell passes over us. Temp is around 30. Should be the high. Appears we'll get more weather as the afternoon goes on so a good day to have Poppy cuddle up and help me nap.

Ran a few errands today and stopped at a grocery store. Got maybe 5 items. Cashier asked if we were stocking up for the big storm coming in. I must have looked confused. This may become my everyday look.
Anyway, she told  me we might get a couple inches of snow. I may have upset her when I told her I didn't think 2" of snow and no wind would be called a "storm" in Minnesota in December.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Not here yet. Supposed to start here tomorrow night and all morning on Thursday. 3-5 inches expected. 15-20 MPH winds. Glad I'm not going anywhere on Thursday.

A very fine mist & 30* when I headed to HH a little after 4. Got a guy who works for the county that's usually there & he said the state guys were loading up on brine & heading out as he was leaving work. I 35 from Clear Lake to about Manly/ Forest City/Hwy 9(~ 20 miles) was nothing but black ice & there was quite a few tractor trailers in the ditch, jackknifed, or on their side. Minutes later a couple guys walked in that had just been over there & they said it was worse than that. They said they felt kind lucky to make it back to town when they did. It was a wintry mix on my way home & the streets in town were even starting to get pretty slick.  :doah:

Apparently we are hogging it all up here. We have a foot plus here. That would be by lake of the woods.
Hey look your bobber is up!
