Was almost hazy here before sundown.  It is -14 now. Two more real cold days and then a reprieve.

I see Waseca topped out at 1.4 above zero. Overachieved once again. Yet more concrete evidence of global climate change... :coffee: I feel better about their forecasting prowess here at the ranch. We only managed -1 for a high. -12 forecast low for tonite. -6 for a high tomorrow. Bought some lithium batteries for the outdoor temp sensor as recommended in the instructions. Says it may not function properly in temps under -4 F. So far it's been right in the ballpark but always striving to maintain accuracy. 🌡️

Was -22 when I got going this morning...-11 now. If it snows where theres a football game going on thats a good thing. Otherwise I don't care.

Swapped the alkaline batteries out of the outdoor thermometer sensor with some lithium batteries last nite. Some of the units I've had in the past required that the batteries be removed for a specific period of time before replacing them. When replaced, they also needed be replaced in a specific sequence between the outdoor sensor and indoor display. Nothing in the owners manual about that other than it would take 20 - 30 minutes for the units to sync up. They did right about on schedule. Not a fancy device but it's a handy reference before venturing outside. Seems to be in the ballpark when comparing to local reporting stations.

Happened to look at the temp & windchill readings not far from where I lived in ND once upon a time. Temp at 9:30 a.m. in Rolla ND, it was only -26 but the wind chill was -56. 23 mph NW winds didn't help matters. Not exactly balmy here but it isn't nearly as brutal as it's been there. Remember days that were colder there too but they were calculating the wind chill differently. Good days to stay close to the fire regardless.  :coffee:

Playing in the dome in Atlanta. Don't think i'll bother watching it. I think the player budget for OSU is higher than the Twins.
