incoming weather

Temp was an improvement this a.m. but that SE wind gets your attention. Something's afoot and it might be 4" - 7" of snow. Heavier going east from here according to the weather terrorists. That I can deal with. It's the cold that's supposed to follow that takes the fun out of it.

Similar start time here. Looks like it's about outta here for the time being with predicted amounts of less than an inch for tonite. Tossed a bunch of hay in the lambing barn to coax the brood ewes inside. There were a half dozen or so that were stubborn but they all went in by 3:15. I thought about putting the chains on the tractor but decided to see how it behaved w/o them. For the amount of snow we have and what's predicted, it should be fine. Looked behind me when scraping a path and noticed the bale spear was still on the 3 point! I had visions of poking a hole in a car, shed or garage door so took that off.

 We did have a 1/2" on top of the lid to the burn barrel early today. Temps -20 to -25 tomorrow night & WCs of -40 to -45 by early Monday................................................sure glad I don't have anywhere I need to be.

just cleaned off the sidewalk and there was more snow in front of the garage than I figured so cleaned that up too..  make room for more..   when roony's warm up gets here!!

18 degrees here today with the fresh fluffy snow. Everything looks so clean except around the bird feeder. lol To bad it couldn't stay like this instead of getting sub artic.

We had 4" just last Saturday & there was close to another 2" earlier that week, so that's at least 6", glenn. Tuesday it'll be 3 weeks this time around. Only paper we get up here, mike, is the Shopper twice a week. Our 10-day actually has 26 for Saturday the 22nd & 36 for the 23rd right now.

      Here's a quick question for all you fine folks.
      When you want or need to look at a weather forecast for the next couple of days, what source, or sources do you trust? I tend to go to NWS but our local TV station has a much better radar.
