A few scattered sprinkles moving through. Fish houses made a mass exodus off St. Olaf Lake today. Water ponded here and there on the ice tonite. Still a few houses when I went by just before 4 p.m.  :coffee:

It's starting to look like our warm spell could be about over here as the wind is expected to switch back to WNW early tomorrow here. Upper 30's for temps but that WNW wind near 10 will make it feel colder. More wind & mid 30's for Thursday & Friday, while barely making 20 with winds @ 20 for Saturday. Sure, was nice change after that bitter cold stretch. It looks nice again on Monday but back to normal after that.

Yes me too.  Things are looking up.  I was looking through an old Conservation Volunteer from 2007 and at that time there has only been 3 days since they started keeping track that had not had frost.  July 17, July 21 and August 7.

I remember drinking a beer in downtown Calvin ND on the 4th of July, prolly '82 or '83. There was frost on the roof of the guy's car.

I remember snow in the air in July once while at my Grandparents at Lake Benton. I was probably 12 or so.  So 60's.

We had programs in high school about the hole in the ozone that was going to let all of the heat out and we were headed for terrible cold.  I guess it healed itself up.   :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

A few hours ago, forecasts put our rain chances st 50% before 1 a.m. Ran around covering stuff up, putting things away & closing doors down just in case. Change that. Now 20% with the system appearing to have tracked south of us. Another worthless NWS forecast. If these little woke bastards only knew. 6 hours lead time please or I can guess better than that POS forecast based on the radar. Changing it last minute may make you appear correct but it does nothing for the end user.
