Our wet weather had slid a touch east of us by about noon yday. The wind picked up & it still felt damp the rest of the day though. We struggled to reach 45 like they said it would, I never seen anything over 43.

Topped out yesterday at 61. Was a shower thru last nite ~7:20 that got the sidewalk, patio and steel roof on the barn wet. A brief shower went thru Bugtussle about an hour ago. Settled the dust some. Scattered showers here and there but more organized stuff over by Blue Earth & Winnebago. So far it's made it to 45 degrees at 10 a.m. Takes a chunk of the day to reach the high and cools down. Rinse and repeat. Warmer temps & breezier conditions expected for the weekend which should help dry things more quickly.

Does sound like a good day for a little fire. Not much of a breeze.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Think it made 53 at the ranch for about 10 seconds yesterday then cooled off. Not drying very fast but  I see whoever's been selling "stupid pills" in the area has made a few sales. Some fields being worked wet, no dust flying, looks clumpy and damp. Smells wet too. Not a problem until the crop planted into those fields look like chit then I hear, "Well, I did everything right. Now somebody's gonna pay!" No you didn't and yup, they will. Look in the mirror, pal... :coffee:

Some of the real small shallow lakes are showing some open water, but there’s still a fair amount of ice. It can change pretty fast, but I’m looking at no more than a couple feet along the shoreline open.

Currently 58 here right now.   Seen 66 this afternoon.  The ice pulled away from the shore line about 20' today.   The rest of the lake sure turned black.

The sun poked out here yday ~ 3 but it didn't last long, then again ~ 4:30 & it got pretty nice. We raced right past the 59 forecasted & I seen 63 around 6:00. The wind is s'posed to go NE this am then, NW late tonight. Rain tonight turning to snow by tomorrow morning, with NW winds 15-25. So, there probably isn't much ice getting hurt here in the next day or 2. Back to upper 50's by Wednesday though.

Ice? I threw some cubes out the back door last nite. They were gone this a.m. Climate change. Wind was still raw when Poppy & I were filling birdfeeders an hour ago. Might've been a sprinkle too. Reached 70 yesterday afternoon. Supposed to get there today as well.

Just a little shower came through here. Enough to get things wet is about it. I dont have a gauge out yet. It sounds like there is a better chance of rain tonight.

It turned to snow & when I pulled the Grizzly out of garage about 9 it was snowing pretty good. No white ground here though as it only lasted a couple minutes.

Just the usual 20 - 30 mph winds, gusting to 35 so far. Some light rain forecast for later in the afternoon into the evening. Pretty light amounts expected. Thursday looks more promising for a half inch or better. Did some weeding in the perennial bed on the south side of the house Saturday. My gawd that ground was cold. Daffodils and other perennial bulbs are fine with it but not exactly corn planting weather, yet.
