I couldn't find much else interesting on, so we checked out most of the Michigan St game. Michigan St won in a shootout.

I saw that. I also saw that Ohio State won in OT. Wisconsin beat Michigan 4-0. My Mavs won 2-1.

Was a good game. Rodents seldom win shootouts it seems. Hopefully they come after Michigan St. and pound them good tonite. The 5 minute major-game misconduct against Michigan St. last nite should be incentive.

Rodents up 3-1 in the 3rd find a way to give up 3 goals in under 3 minutes. 4 minutes left. If they lose this, they should be ashamed.

Empty netter. These guys still have the cake eater mentality lurking in their background!!!!!

      I took a quick look at the stats on that game. I figured the Gophers had it wrapped up. Shows how much I know.

  I read where they were 5 or 6 guys short because of some international tourney along with a couple injuries. They just ran out of gas, the coach said.

      I look at CHN (College Hockey News) and saw where they had picked Minnesota as their team of the week. Being short of key players would definitely make a difference.

It makes a good excuse but this program goes thru this almost every year. The problem is now they need to kick it up a notch after the break. In addition to dominating the rest of the B1G, now they'll have to beat Michigan St. on the road, no easy feat. Tired or not, no excuse for not getting the puck out of your own end & giving up 3 goals as a result. Herbie would've come unglued!

  Yeah, I think the pc I read said they had some bad turnovers late too & that led to some easy scores for Michigan St.

       Great Lakes Invitational today and tomorrow in Grand Rapids, MI.
      The first game might be decent. Michigan Tech and Western Michigan. The second game might not be so great to witness. Michigan State (13-2-1) and Northern Michigan (1-16-1). I will be cheering for Northern Michigan in that game.

      Two good games yesterday.
      I wasn't too surprised to see Western Michigan beat Michigan Tech 3-2 in OT. I was very happy to see how much #1 Michigan State had to work to beat statistically last (#64 out of 64 D1 hockey programs) Northern Michigan, 2-0. NMU goalie stopped, I think, 45 of 47 shots on goal. Impressive.
      Two more games today.

update to this, sounds like the Duluth police found most of the stolen sticks..   still a sad deal...
