What a great hockey game last night between two evenly matched teams; close checking with not a lot of room to skate.  Our boys lost in overtime 3-2.  :pouty:

It just goes to show you - in hockey - you can defensively smother a guy like Connor McDavid the whole game, but if you lose track of him for one second, he drifts into position to score the winning goal.  Hats off, Canada.  :drillsergeant:

Our MN Wild players who played for Team USA acquitted themselves well on the ice last night as did Hill-Murray's own Jake Guentzel.  The puck was always moving to the net when he was on the ice.  :happy1:

P.S.  The Boston crowd was respectful of the Canadian National Anthem, which was butchered by the singer.  There was only a smattering of "boos" to be heard.  Perhaps they were respectful or maybe they didn't want to poke the bear.  I'm no fan of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, but he did have the right to post this on X after the game:   "You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game."
