Literally a last minute trip to New Orleans. Work is sending me to the French quarters for a banquet. Arriving Friday at 5pm and leaving Saturday at 2pm.

Never been and looking to “live it up” in that short period of time…and if I don’t sleep, oh well.

Any good suggestions on where to go and where to eat/drink? The gala is over around 10pm so  I’m gonna go hit the streets after that.

I'm normally pretty fearless but New Orleans scares the heck out of me.

I have lived there 3 times.  Each time as fall started up here I caved in and moved back north.  Don't worry there will be all kinds of ideas once you are there.  Stay with people you know.  So easy to get knocked on the head and dragged in an alley and robbed.  I haven't been there since the 70's.

Geez guys, now I’m just gonna hide under my covers at the hotel. lol.

If I don’t make it back, Glenn can have my 2023 Boar big buck contest knife as it’s probably his only chance at seeing one.

The first time I went I was with a buddy.  We were both barely in our 20's.  We walked all over.  We stopped in this bar on the edge of the quarters for a drink.  I ordered and went to the bathroom.  As I was standing there and peeing an older guy comes up and pees right next to me.  ????  He talked to me as we peed.  I got out and my buddy went in and an older guy followed him in and peed next to him.  We drank up and got the he77 out of there.  Naive Mn boys. Prime meat I'm thinking

Right on.  Are you eating some fun stuff.  I used to get a dozen escargot in garlic butter sauce at a famous place.  Can't even remember it now.  I would have to try some different kinds of oysters too. I am getting hungry now.

Food was amazing! But when you pull into a bar and this is the bourbon menu, the night gets a little fuzzy!
