That's great pulleye,  I'm not an electrician so I'm allowed one question.  Does the switch control the outlet?

Nope. Power goes into the junction box and splits to the outlet and also to the light.

Need to fasten the wires down.

 My buddy says not to use metal junction boxes so maybe I’ll see what a plastic one costs.

Metal is much better, just have to make sure it’s grounded.

I think  back in  the day when they ran greenfield in houses it all had to be metal boxes. But now with ground rods can get by with whatever,  IDK,  I could be wrong.

It was on my last job at the distribution center but in reality I worked with single phase power also. I never drank brandy at work, they smell it on ya.

If it was a big or really complicated thing they always hired an outside contractor but there were a few times I had to put on the arc flash suit.
