Because there was almost 6 minutes (5:48) left & he was betting on his D stopping Penn St. Then they could win it with a FG. Penn St converted 4th & 1 three times on that final drive. I agree with Dotch, they should have been looking for that fake punt. That was a crazy game!!

Near the end that was the first pass interference I have ever seen when the ball was thrown 4 yards out of bounds.  Against us and they were both just touching each other.  That got them down to the end zone.

It was a fun game to watch just as the Utah/Iowa State game was after that. That is, if you're into watching football games purely for the sake of entertainment. However, after 60+ years of watching Gopher football, it's a broken record, SSDD. I'll give them their due, They won more games than I would've given them credit for after looking like a team that would be lucky to win any B1G games. See earlier season losses to North Carolina, Iowa, & Michigan. They still have a chance to redeem themselves somewhat against Bucky & bring home the axe. But, even tho the BADgers aren't having a stellar season either at 5 - 6, the Gophers odds of getting a win at Camp Randall are right up there with glenn getting a deer. 4 losses in a row for Bucky. Think Rutgers. Betting that dutchy has that PJ voodoo doll cleaned, pressed and ready to roll.

dutchy or his PJ voodoo doll must've slept in until late in the 3rd quarter. Oopsies! Bucky misses a 37 yard FG. Must've fallen asleep again. Still 21-7, rodents up with 12:10 left.

Update: 24-7 w/3:19 left. Looking grim for Bucky...

I am not a real knowledgeable college football fan.  I just watch Americas team, the Gophers.  But I always thought WI was a real tough team year to year.  SO are the Gophers that good or is WI not good?

I can't wait to see PJ run onto the field every game with Da Bears! I'm sure before long, all the teams and head coaches will be doing it.

This Wild Wild West of NIL and Transfer Portal ain't good for college athletics - especially football.

Schools like the the UofM can be likened to a AAA baseball league for all the Blue Blood schools.  Yeah, the Gophs will be able to snatch some players like Brosmer from AA ball, but they'll lose the ones that pan out to the Major Leagues and forever be stuck - at best - in the lower-middle tier.

I don't envy coaches at any school having to deal with the constant thrashing, but for the millions they make...  I don't feel bad for them either.

Not to worry. Sounds like they have their eyes on several rb's in the portal in addition to some they've had hiding in the weeds. dutchy's work on PJ's contract is paying huge dividends already...

yes........the college regular season is done......this weekend i believe is alot of the conference championship games!! then its bowling season!!!

Iowa St/Arizona St in the Big 12 get it started at 11 CDT tomorrow, the BIG 10 & ACC wrap it up at 7 tomorrow night. https://www.espn.com/college-football/schedule
