Can you imagine the DNR still using these?  I wonder how many hunters there were back then.  More?  Less?

This was from 1969.  I wonder when they stopped using them.

We thought the paper ones would only last a year and they would be back to the sturdy metal ones.

I have a few in a Hunting memory book I started 30 years ago.  I think they stopped metal in early 80's.
Cooking over a open fire is all fun and games until someone losses a wiener!

I used them for quite a while. I remember guys saying they put the deer in the trunk and stuck a leg between the door and the back seat, put the metal tag around the leg but didn't click it shut UNLESS they ran into the law.  :rotflmao:
