So when did the post office start this crap?   I sent this envelope that weighs maybe 3 oz.  I put 5 stamps on it just to be sure there was plenty and placed it in the blue mailbox at the post office.  I got it back with the below note attached to it.
I don't even want to know what part of the male anatomy was used to measure this package but I sure hope they are not claiming 12".   People wonder why the post office is struggling.

Just paid 73 bucks for a roll of 100 stamps the other day. The worse part of getting old is remembering what you paid years ago.  :pouty:

It is all part of the Republicans plan to ruin the USPS so private companies can take it over.  That would be the biggest mistake ever.  Just like your cult leader putting DeJoy in charge.  He is part of ruining the USPS.

If I didn't have to stand in line for an hour I would ask them for that explanation.  When I dropped this off the line was out the door of the building.   Which is normal for the Bemidji post office.  They can't get anyone to work there.

This isn't a political issue of Rep/Dem thing.   This has been ongoing and coming for years.  Add in epay, credit card pay, emails and messaging it takes away the business.  Could you imagine if we had none of those options?  They can't handle what they have left right now.     I get it...all that has taken a chunk out of their "business".   I am not in favor of this but really could a private company do any worse than how it is being run right now?  Most of the rural carriers are contracted by the postal service and not employees.  The only ones getting benefits and federal pay are the ones that sit behind the desks.

I seldom mail anything any more and every once in a while I need a reminder of why I don't.  Most of the time there is no reason to do so.  I will pay more from now on and put it on SpeeDee or Fedex.   At least I can track it and know it might get there.
