Scenic had the surgery this afternoon, they removed the hardware that his body was reacting to and replaced with a different type of metal.
It was too early in the game to remove the hardware for good as the bones still need the support.

He is at home resting as I type this, he is shot after days of painful swelling and not getting much sleep.
I will say thank you for him for the well wishes, he appreciates every ones support !

Now I gotta work on a chair with tracks, anyone got a spare F-16 canopy I can borrow???
Not so much for protection from tree branches, open vehicle doors, or anything like that, more so because he has been tied down so long I am sure he will want me to build a chair with at least 300 Horsepower so he can fill that need for speed.
That brings up another need, does anyone make high speed tracks?? I am sure if they wont hold together at a hunnert per he wont be happy!!

THANK YOU guys!!!    That was just more fun than one person should be allowed to have in one day......NOT.

So yes I have been pretty miserable for the last few days.   They pulled out the hardware on my lower leg breaks and put in another set of plates.  The rod in my upper lower leg break is a different material so it is doing well.  All the bones are healing good but just a bit early to pull and leave out the hardware yet.  The tendons are giving me the most problem as they heal slower.

It was not or is not as bad this time because they washed out and used the same holes again.  Everything was already threaded!!  While I was there they pumped me full of antibiotics and sent me home with a bottle of horse pill stye of some more.  They had funny ideas of me staying in that place but I explained that there are to many sick people in there.

This is going to slow me down for a bit but nothing like last time.  Thank you again for all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes.

Now this chair.......I think its just time to pull the trigger on a Piper Super Cub fixer upper.   If I could get in it I could fly it!!     Take off is about 350' on land.   130 mph bird and a comfy chair too.   BUT....lets hold off a few days for this.

Good to hear things are heading in a positive direction Scenic! :happy1: And I agree with glenn. Never trust anyone who thrives on munchkin-sized catfish... :coffee:
