Momma ordered this fella about a month ago, no more buying shredded cheese. Works pretty slick, suction cups down on the counter and you shredded whatever you like. About 4 cranks and the blocks were gone. A bunch of different blades for other foods like potatoes,  cooked chicken etc. While your on Amazon lps, give it a whirl

It does look slick.  And I'll bet its cheaper and better for you too.  Don't they add stuff to shredded cheese to keep it from sticking together?  :scratch:

we wondered about that also Steve-o... a big batch of fresh cheese does stick a little but after a few days it seams fine. I'm looking forward to smoking some blocks again!

That looks great!   I just showed it to the wife and she empasized NO!    :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:  They do look handy.  I bet fresh ground cheese tastes a world better.  Fresh colby or cheddar or even swiss.

      I like non-electric appliances. I do have a couple of questions.

      A). How hard is it to clean?

      2). Can you get blades to grind the morning coffee?
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Momma tore it apart and everything cleaned nice.  I believe they show dicing nuts with a certain blade, can't see why it wouldn't work with coffee beans, might not be fine enough.  Gotta remember this thing is mainly plastic,  I went easy with it but it sure gobbled up the cheese.  If I think of it I'll grind up a tater today.

Grater looks like a neat tool.  I grate most of our cheese from blocks as well.  We go through it so fast we don't have to worry about it sticking together much.  Also work great for grinding crackers for breading too.

That looks very handy. How well do you think it would hold up to doing 2lb of carrots? It looks like this slicer would go through them faster than the mandoline one I am currently using.

She did carrots the other day she says. No peeling just grabbed 2 taters and ran em thru,  pretty effortless. Chips are in the air fryer as we speak.

We had an air fryer sitting here for about a year.  I started using it and I really like it.   I have not found a breaded fish recipe I like but really like it for chicken pieces.   Just did tater tots in it tonight.

How did the chips turn out?

We make frozen french fries in our air fryer and they are great. Those chips you made look perfect.

Sold. One is on order. Thank you for sharing. You can get crispers fries if you rinse your spuds a couple of time until the water dumps out clear and then soak them for an hour. This will remove most of the starch.

I can't say I do chicken wings great either.  I'm willing to listen and learn, but can you get fall-off-the-bone tender chicken wings in an air frier?  :confused:

What I usually do is dry rub/season the wings, grill em to brown em up, and then move them to the slow cooker.  I'll usually pour a bottle of marinade over them while they are in the slow cooker.  Or, you could just slow cook em and toss em in sauce when they're done like the restaurants do.

A couple recipes I use for wings in the air fryer.  Always pre-heat your air fryer.  Both start with dried wing sections:

2lbs chicken wings (fresh, flats and drumettes, about 18 pieces)
2 tsp kosher salt
2 tsp thyme, dried
2 tsp rosemary, dried
2 tsp oregano, dried
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp vegetable or olive oil

Mix all dry ingredients in a bag.   In a bowl or bag moisten the chicken in oil.  Pre-heat air fryer to 390 for 5-10 minutes.  Cook wings 20-25 minutes unit they hit an internal temp of  165 degrees.  Flip about half way through.

My favorite:   

6 chicken legs or wing sections
3 tbs brown sugar
1.5 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
ΒΌ tsp cayenne pepper
1 tbs vegetable or olive oil

Mix all dry ingredients in a bag.   In a bowl or bag moisten the chicken in oil.  Pre-heat air fryer to 390 for 5-10 minutes.  Cook wings 20-25 minutes unit they hit an internal temp of  165 degrees.  Turn over wing sections at least once or twice.

For hot wings place in a bowl with Sweet Baby Rays wing sauce with a pat of melted butter.  Or use your other favorite sauces.  Coat the wings and cook 4-5 minutes longer until browned

Yes they will fall off the bone.

atta boy Rodwork,  and thanks for the tip. Don't sweat it Scenic we need to talk air fryers also. We did a batch of sunfish last summer in it, sure wish i didn't cuz it just wasn't the same. Ours here gets a good workout, too bad tho that the cooking area is small. The BIL told me last weekend he thru a New York strip in just to see, turned pretty good he said,  but not for me i told him...

I also tried a small steak in the Air Fryer and not my thing either.  As for fish I did do a chunk of salmon in it that turned out ok.  But then that was not breaded either.  It does work great for re-heating fried fish though.   That basket is small on the one I have as well and it seems you cannot crowd the stuff in those things.

Good to know about the spuds Coffee!! That's how I do em on the grill, when not wrapped in bacon.
