I keep finding ways to use this air fryer.  I think what I like best is that it is fast and easy for the most part.   Not made for everything but for a few things it is pretty nice.

I made breakfast in it yesterday.   2 slices of bread and I used the bottom of a clean pint jar to dimple the bread.  Put an egg on each slice.  Lay bacon over the top.   Cook at 380 degrees for 12 minutes.

Bacon, eggs and toast:

That sure looks excellent Scenic! Might be something to try when the Mrs. isn't around in case it backfires & I wind up making a mess. Still waiting on the little replacement tabs for the bottom of our fryer basket. They were cheap where I ordered them from but they sure are slow getting here. If I'd ordered direct from the manufacturer, I would've needed to purchase another fryer basket bottom to get additional replacement tabs.  :doah:

They are great for frozen french fries Glenn.  Or anything like that.

At first I thought they were a joke, until a friend made store bought frozen fries at his cabin that I had a lot as a kid. And they actually tasted like real fries should, not some odd soggy freezer burnt thing my mom made!  :puke:
So we got one now, I use it more for reheating things that I dont want soggy out of the microwave.  All our left over fries from a restaurant come home now, put in the freezer then get reheated in the air frier. Anything with a batter like left over fish or chicken it works well. It does take some time, to learn the timing.
Cooking over a open fire is all fun and games until someone losses a wiener!

I think ours kicked around in the box for a year and one day I decided to try it.  Like mentioned for heating up anything you bring home fried its great.   Any frozen entries, chicken wings, non breaded salmon steak, chicken legs, frozen pastries. and pretty much anything you can buy frozen made for a regular deep fryer.   I tried steak and a pork chop in it....that I am not impressed with.   I have tried breaded fresh fish in a few ways but have not found one I am impressed with yet.  Great for left over deep fried fish though.

A big thing to do with these is to preheat the unit.    One thing you cannot do is over crowd the food.  It has to have room to cook.  After clean up the first few times I learned they make liners for the baskets.  These work great but you do have to rotate your food in them and do NOT have a liner in them during preheat.

At first I was leary on the pre heat thing, you get it going just to take out and fill with food, but it does work. Momma probably over fills it with fries, she's shaking it quite often but somehow they turn out perfect.

They sure do.  I like fries but no big deal to me.  When the wife did them I couldn't believe how good they were.  Now we always have a bag of them in the freezer.  We are still in the learning stage so good to hear what you guys have been cooking in it.

Yes it was Del that was the king of sous vide.  He lived near Rebs.  I wonder how they are doing?

First time for these.  Left over taco meat turned into Air Fryer Chips n Cheese.    5 minutes @ 370.

Yum!
I'm trying to remember who use to argue with Del about the benefits and health risks of sous vide.
