That was a few folks, on a few different forums!    I for one never liked the idea of boiled gray meat in a bag!   

They are never boiled.  That is one of biggest misconceptions with this unit.  MANY of your top steak houses use these to season and prepare steaks.  Raw steaks are vacuum sealed individually and the bag placed in water.  They bring and hold them at say 110 degrees then they flash them on the flame broiler aka reverse sear to bring it up to your desired doneness temperature.   Ever wonder how they can make your entire steak meal in 10 minutes?

I have.  I rubbed them down with olive oil.  Then you will get a nice crisp crust on them.

Good to know. Momma did asparagus in the air fryer tonight while I had 3 spuds rubbed in oil and salt with 2 ribeyes on the charcoal,  I are full.. was hoping she wrapped the asparagus with bacon but maybe nexttime.

I did them at 400 and don't really know how long.  Probably 30-40 minutes.

Sounds like a great meal !!!   These things are fun to cook in.

No picture but I did this one:

Start with 2 Tortilla skins.  Spread  cream cheese on them.  Add mock or canned crab meat and mozzarella cheese. Don't be shy with the cheese.   Add top skin with cream cheese on the inside.   Top with more mozzarella cheese and I added a bit of a shredded mix because that is what I had.   Strizzle garlic butter with chives over the top.   Cook at 360 for 6-7 minutes.

I seen your egg concoction online Scenic,  I'll give that a try soon. Tonight was cheese burger wraps in the fryer, the tortillas got smeared with whatever you wanted on it, seasoned burger,  hot pickles, onions and spicy cheese. We had 4 in for 9 minutes at 390°.

      I may have to get one of them there air fryers just to experiment with. What makes an air fryer good or bad? What to look out for?

Make sure you get a bigger one.  I have heard so many people say that they regret getting too small of one.

Those look good.  That wasn't my concoction as I had seen it as well.  I just made it and shared. 

For you guys wondering about the sous vide steak.  Last night my son cooked steaks.  He seasoned these steaks and vacuum sealed them in the bag.  Then he put them in 125 degree water and held them right there for a couple hours.   When he was ready he took all 4 steaks and seared them on the grill for 1.5 minutes on each side.  Perfect sear and med rare on the inside.   As mentioned this is  great way to make a chuck into a prime as well.
