Made a day trip today with a couple friends and we had a blast. Fished out of 7 Pines in Frederic, WI and again..had a blast! Dan Brown was our guide for the day and he sure does know where to find fish! Here are some pics from the day. We caught a lot of fish, actually didn't even keep count. Hooked a few larger ones and managed to land a dandy 21 inch Rainbow. We also shot a video and caught all the action...Be on the look out for the video in a couple weeks.

Here is the big one!!

ooops

The release..... ;D

Tim emailed me and told me they had "an awesome time."  Well, I had an awesome time too!  A most pleasant day and it was great to finally meet some board buddies face to face.  Tim ran the cameras while Tom, Rachel and I hit the fish.  Tom (Tompton) did a heckuva job and plucked fish out of spots that I'd i.d. as holding fish...doesn't get any slicker'n that!  Rachel, for a first-timer, did an OUTSTANDING job.  For some, it's very difficult to keep in mind all you need to keep in mind while learning to cast.  Lots of stuff to pay attention to simultaneously.  She did great and before too long, her casting looked quite nice. ;)
Tim posted my big fish, but I'll tell you what, both Rachel and Tom hooked two 'bows that were very large.  Tom hooked up on one in a very, very prime lie and we all got a very good look at it before it flipped us the fin and decided to snap the 6X and wear his olive beadhead scud for a lip ring for a few days. ;D  I think I socked Tom's shoulder I was so excited...made my knees shake! :o
Anyway, those guys split and my brother and I fished some together.  Like Rachel, he's never fly fished and he caught a bunch too.  So, for somebody like me that gets a really big kick out of witnessing others I'm with having a good time and catching fish, Saturday ranks way up there in my book. ;)
Thanks for making the trip up and thanks for sending me all those pictures.  They're good ones and we'll use a few of them for sport shows, etc.
Great day.  Great day indeed!
Dan
