Muskie Fisherman??

So do we have any die hard muskie fisherman out there???

Care to share pictures, stories, tips? I finally am outfitted and ready to go once the season opnes this year.

I love to fish muskies, i throw all the time, but i sure notice alot of the guys trolling now. i tried trolling a couple times now with no luck, but a couple my buddies boat alot fish that way.

when EVER you get a follow never slow down your bait/lure!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is a big mistake I see tons of people doing, SPEED IT UP!!  They hate it when the bait speeds up!  It seems to them that there meal or snack is getting away and boy do they hate that! So my point is ALWAYS figure 8 and if you see a follow speed up NOT down! You wouldn't want your lunch running away after you tracked it! or would you!                                  Check out this picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I am more of a bass guy, but i still set out three weekends to do some diehard muskie fishin. I fish mille lacs a lot and i just love it. I also fish a lot of metro lakes.

I do some muskie fishing while at my place on Leech.  It's usually during the day, after and before the walleye bite.

I wouldnt say that i am a die hard muskie fisherman but me and the wife try to get out at least five times a year.  We live less than a mile from the public access on west battle lake which has treated us fair.  The biggest fish i have caught so far is 40 in but that was actually caught through the ice three years ago when i was fishing for walleyes.

I have fished for Muskies and caught a few. Now my husband loves to fish Muskies and he has caught quite a few.  The time is coming near............. LUVNLIFE

Due to my job I only get out a few times in the summer and hopefully one of them is after skis. I have the rod/reel and a muski box nearly overflowing with $8-$20 baits and spinners. I just need the time to use them more.

so what is a good set up for fishin these monsters? I have never fished for them and would like to know please

What i use and it probably differs from person to person, 8 foot heavy rod, Calcutta 400b with 80 or 100lb power pro, then the bait depends on the day or lake... Top Raider to cover the top water stuff, Nice big bladed bucktail for burning some weed beds and i always have a Bull Dawg ready to throw.

I can not wait to get out !!

Other fish are, well just "other Fish".
