when smoking anything in a smoker try this.  take a ramikin or make a tin foil pan  and put a layer of seasalt or kosher salt in it. as long as the meat is smoking  smoke the salt.this is how smoked saltis made for the home smoker .  this will keep for many months in the cupboard . you can use this salt on anyting from baked potatoes, veggies , fish , anyfood you use salt on and wood like a smoky flavor ..  enjoy

That sounds good!  I imagine the same could work with garlic cloves?  Maybe the garlic would have to be used sooner than later though?  ???
