OK, here's the deal.
My brother, a friend named Dave, maybe a cousin and myself try to go on a ATV trip every year towards the end of April or early May. We start out in Rice, Mn and get on the trail in Genola (Pierz). We head north on the Munger Trail System,(at least thats what I think its called) It's  all pretty easy railroad grade riding with an average speed 0f 40-45 mph. We camp out Saturday night so bring a tent and good sleeping bag or heavy blankets as it can still get kinda chilly at night. There are plenty of fuel stops along the way but my brother likes to strap a 2 gallon can on just to look cool. ::) The camp fire is nice along with copious amount of beer and burn't food offerings we try to make.

We didn't go last year but the year before we put on 390 mile in two days.
If you think you would be interested just reply to this post and we'll take it from there.

IT DON'T SUCK!

Same deal for me. I don't own an atv and have a wallet drainer on the way. So I have to save my money and vacation time. Otherwise I would love to go. Thanks for the invite.

That 2 gallon container full of BEER? :P Are you thinking during the week or weekend? I looked at that trail on the DNR site and I didn't see ATV's listed as using it. I will have to see when you have it. If it works out I try to go and get my brother to go also.

The beer is in a cooler. We only drink when we stop to pee.
We leave Saturday morning about 8:00 am and be back Sunday afternoon-early evening.

At this time of year there is not a lot of traffic on the trails so its a nice cruise. It is a real good time, you will probably want to do it again next year too.

I'll will try to post a picture of my ATV with the big ol box on it so you can se where to put things.

Remember...The more the marrier!

P.S...Boring people should come with to see how the fun people live!

I talked to a friend of mine and I think he will go too. I'll try to find out within the next few days. So plans could be made.

OK.
There are really no plans. Just show up with all your gear and a little food and away we go.

If the weather calls for heavy rain it will be re-scheduled.

Anyone from this site that is interest, please post you intentions here.
Other than that there is two others that are pretty much a "fer sure". So right now it looks like about 5 people. But I just started to promote. Going to post this on the snowmobile site also.

Remember that this is a nice casual ride, not a balls-to-the-wall type outing. You can even bring a passenger if they can ride that long.

Here are the sites for the PDF files for the Soo Line ATV Trail. Copy and paste. (Bottom of page)

We plan on leaving Rice, Mn. Saturday morning from my Brothers house. Depending on number of vehicles, we may just meet at the trails head in Genola and leave from there. (That might be the thing to do anyway). As you can see from the trail maps this is a ride anyone that can hang onto an ATV can handle. If you don't fall asleep your good to go.
A rain suit is a good investment as is a windshield for your ATV. An extra set of clothes is nice as there may be water puddles on the trail and you could get wet.Helmets are optional but we always wear ours. We all have a big plactic box attached to our quads to put tents, pillow, bags and other misc. stuff in but thats up to you. You can get them at Mills Fleet for about $10. (Well worth the money, I run mine year round). I have it mounted on some extra decking boards so it hangs off the back aways. Here is a picture of the ATV with box on it.

Anyone else ready for a nice 2 day cruise?
We have seen deer and bear in these little outings. Not like you haven't seen them before but...

Maybe one guy from the Snowgoer.com board will go but haven't heard anything lately.
