Schmeldt FRY at the Villa

It's that time of year again.  Time to have the schmeldt fry, June 9th all day, all welcome to come and enjoy, it is kind of A potluck type adventure so bring some kind of snack or whatever .
Grand Rapids  to hwy 38 north go to the 7.9 mile mark we will have sign on side of road turn right go about A block and another sign will send you to the Villa park and enjoy.
Food will start sometime after noon untill gone or we get chased of by da sheriff (hasent happened yet) but close.
This is A family outing with beer & pop included.
So sign up to give us an idea how many chairs to have etc.

PUTZ     Rain or shine we have tent canope.

Do you have ATV trail system and a campground near by?
I could make a weekend out of it.

slick, there is room for some campers, and maybe evn tents if you like.
I will talk to my brother or have putz talk to him.
he has the bulk of the land adjacent to putz's place. there are trails throughout, but we still have to ask him if he minds, it's his land that the trails are on.
I dont think it will be a problem, if it is kept under control. I mean staying out of his yard and not ripping up the soft spots. I would think we could find a nice spot to mud unless it's too dry.

I was kinda thinking of an ATV club maintained system in the area.
How about fishing? Any shore fishing up that way? Can't bring both the ATV and the boat unless I buy a truck...and that isn't happening.

Lots of lakes and we also have the PUTZ boat that could be used ::
for fishing.

the problem with a two day weekend is that people come up and try to cram every kind of entertainment they can possibly imagine into the short weekend.

it just becomes more work trying to acomplish everything.
it is much more enjoyable in my opinion to just relax and take it as it comes.

the schmeldt fry will be at noon.
people are welcome to arive as early as friday.
saturday morning is usualy spent setting up the tent and canopy (s)
and arranging the tables, cooker and horseshoe pits.
after noon, we cook, eat and enjoy refreshments and each others company.

there are  a thousand lakes, litterally within one hour of here.
there are no atv corrals. places to ride legaly are becoming more difficult to find every day.
we just wing it.
screw the tree huggers and goody two shoes, oppressive law designers.
I'm gonna ride. I will not abuse the land or intentionaly disregaurd anothers property.
I put a license on my atv and god dammit, I'm gonna ride it.

we can have the horseshoe tournament all afternoon and maybe throw some clays as well.
there will be plenty to do.
bring your kids, atv's, boats, campers, bikes, spudguns, wive's, girlfriends,
wive's girlfriends :: ::cheers::
just make sure you come.
rumor has it, Al Capone used to recreate right on the very property putz inhabits.
that is, as the story goes, until the untouchables started closing in on his trail.
it is also rumored that he burried his loot somewhere nearby before he made a nifty get away.

The Villa is 8 miles north of Grand Rapids so from there you have to go map hopping.

At Grand Rapids you take hwy 38 north for 7.9 miles just watch the mile markers turn at pratt road there will be A sign that says ( PUTZ schmeldt fry )turn right and go about A block and you will see A sign that says putz villa turn in the driveway and find A place to park and have A beer or whatever.

MAN PUTZ  i would love to make it !! i have a vetrans thing on that weekend .  sorry i have to miss out.  maybe next year. please take pics  so i can see what i missed.

 From what i hear ... you need no luck . i understand you areone good fisherman. however  i will wish you luck anyway. i am going to try and make it with the family . we will see . i will let you folks know by  friday . if you need help catching the extra fish  let me know , be good be safe  and hopefully  i will be  there on sat !!!

From my place in Fridley it is 180 miles plus on minus 437 feet going up hwy 169.
I am planning on going up Thurs afternoon to get the place whipped into shape.

 I can tell ya this, PUTZ Jig and the rest of the gang are great people. Vickie and I joined them last year for their soup shoot.
