I've owned my H2Oc for a little over a year now and this will be the 3rd cord that has gone bad, when it's plugged in, i keep getting a message that says it is not running on external power anymore. No matter what i try, it still doesn't work.

There has been a lot of discussion in different forums about this problem, it seems that they all go bad at one time or another.

I will be contacting Lowrance this week and letting them know how angry i am over this. The first time i just sent in the old one and they shipped out a brand new one very quickly, the 2nd time was this last winter, i just bought another one because I needed it right away.

Other than contacting them and letting them have an earful of what they allready know, i'm going to ask them why they are not fixing the problem for good, instead of just sending out a factory replacement.

Hopefully we can get something accomplished this time, they do have the best handhelds on the market, but there useless if we have to keep buying new power cords!

If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?

The reason your cord is going bad is because... IT'S CRAP! I work @ Sportsman's Warehouse and we get that complaint all the time. I like Lowrance, they are ez to use and have great add-ons, but they need to get their crap together or someone else will take their place in the gps popularity contest. Next time you go to a Sportsman's, Gander, or Cabelas see how many "I Finders" are sold out, then ask them how long they have been sold out for. 6 months... EVERYWHERE! Everyone wants an I Finder but I have already had a bunch of customers get sick of waiting for them and get a Garmin.

Had mine for 8 months and mine hasn't worked since March.  It shuts off the H2O when it is plugged in.  I sent them a message and it took 30 days to get back to me and they want me to send the entire unit (GPS and cigerette lighter) into them and they said their backlog is about 10 - 20 days.  I can't give up my unit like that.  Love the GPS but not liking the service!!!
