Brakes are easy. If you lived closer I'd for sure give you a hand.
But since you live so far away... ::)

You should really take the advice and buy a Ford.

In ranking this is how it goes:

1. Ford-A truck made for working.
2. Dodge- Great for the weekend work around the hobby farm or hunting shack.
3. Chevy- Made for women drivers to get groceries.
4. Any Import Pickup...lets not go there.

HT, you made it a long time, mine only had 700 on it when the front bearings went. Is yours a hd 3/4 by any chance? I know 4 different ppl counnting myself that had the front bears go right away, all in hd3/4 ranging from 2000 to 03 modles.

I've had a dodge, chevy, and ford, I WILL NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN!  After all the problems with the first one, I thought it was just that truck.  Then the next Ford I bought was junk too......never again!

If Dodge is owned by a German company does that make it as foreign as a Nissan built in Tennessee?

Every vehicle these days it seems like has their little "issues" on what breaks consistently throughout the make. With my 03 Chevy Impala it seems to be the intake manifold gasket at around 70-80K normally.

They went away from the good old cork type gasket and switched to a plastic/rubber combo gasket that dries out and cracks at about 70-80K from the factory. The aftermarket replacement gasket goes about 80-100K after that. Cost me a bundle to get that fixed and I wasn't happy about it. Bought the car at 48K and mine went out at 60K..... ::banghead::

This actually happened to me about a month and a half ago. Cost me a little over $600. Problem with most of these newer cars is that a guy needs a Masters Degree is Physics to be able to work on them with all the computer components and tight quarters. For some things it's just better to pay someone else to do it for you.  ::banghead::
