Finally some good reports on fishing in the Ely area. Fishing had been sporadic, but has picked up dramatically the last few days. Walleyes and bass are out on the reefs in many lakes, with very nice size fish being taken with leeches. Surface temps are around 73 degrees, with temps ranging from 65-68 degrees about 15 feet down. More fish being observed daily with cameras and trophy size walleye should begin to come in this week. ::dancinred::

The Great Outdoors Bait & Tackle will gladly give daily updates by phone if you need  them., call 218-365-4744 before 10 am. If calling after that time, leave a message with Brian, and I will get back to you. If in the Ely area, feel free to stop in to chat. I have fished many lakes  in the area for 45 years, but now fish Burntside exclusively. ::fishing::

Thanks, see you again next week.
