this is a tope secret recipe!  shhh  dont tell anyone!
2 lb ground beef
1 cup onions; finely chopped ( sweet onion )
1 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
16 oz tomato puree
1 cup water
1 tablespoon salt
1 Cup Lard ( if you like a real oily tasty sauce. ) We do
Brown ground beef then add all ingredients to a crock pot and let simmer on high till bubbling. Then reduce to low and let simmer. You can start to use it after an hour or so or just let it continue to simmer and use as needed.
Assembly:
Grill hot dogs. Preferred bun size skinny wieners. ( Geo Forman grills work great for cooking your dogs)
Steam your buns ( can be done by just putting them in the microwave in the plastic bag ) and then storing them in the top of the Foreman grill.
Remove and lightly brush with butter
Brush with yellow mustard
Place wiener
Two to three spoonfuls of sauce
Two to three spoonfuls of finely diced sweet onion
Lightly salt
Left over sauce can be stored in small plastic containers and micowaved as needed.

Sounds great bonehead, but what does the lard do?

the lard makes it greasy and adds flavor, i would
cut down on the lard though.

heheh i'm reading this thinking to myself it sure does sound good, and then I realize it is my receipe!  the lard gives it that nice oily taste that seeps into the bun and gives you that greasy nasty napkin and chin look. If you don't like the extra grease of the sauce you can load your buns using a fork instead of a spoon. From the Kitchen at Lake Iwanttobethere Lodge
