It's time to get started in the planning of this years MNO fantasy football money league.

I believe we will need someone to step up and be the commissioner this year also, I haven't talked to Jeffy in a while, but the last i heard he was backing down as the commissioner.

Same rules as last year with a serpentine draft, $25 per player, $5 for the website and $1 per transaction with 10 players/managers.

Here is a list of the players from last year, they will have priority over any newcomers.

Spinach (confirmed for 07-08)
Ryan (Hedrocks) (confirmed for 07-08)
Scott Pugh (confirmed for 07-08)
Jeffy045 (confirmed)
Leech Angler (confirmed for 07-08)

Please speak up NOW if you are in again or if you are interested in joining this league.

League: MNO Fantasy Football Money League 2007-2008
Entry Fee: $25 per person
$5 per person for website
$1 per transaction
10 players/managers
Serpentine draft

The draft will be held at Buffalo Wild Wings in Roseville (Har Mar) at a to be determined date and time. (As close to the last preseason game as possible)

The list has been updated! We will definitely need 2-4 new players this year, if anyone is interested please let us know asap.

I am in again.  I wouldn't mind expanding the league a little this year.  Having 12 or 14 teams might make things a little more interesting.

Also I think you have 11 teams because your neighbor was not in the league last year.

I am in as long as we reduce the # of roster spots on our teams and there is no fee for transactions.

I will pay to play. I don't want a bill at the end of the season.

Oh yeah.....I don't like that fanball site too. Yahoo is free and is the same if not better.

Sorry, I have become picky over the years ;D

My neighbor is not on this list? But, if I remember correctly, Legit did not play last year. If anyone remembers, please help!

I would be ok with expanding to 12 teams too, that would also help the rosters even out.

Transaction fees? I think they are necessary, but I suppose we could have a vote.

We should also vote on the website too, i really liked Fanball. Ryan, does that TQ offer fantasy football for a fee?

I am in...  Yahoo sucks (last time I checked) Fanball is the best out there IMHO.  We should have to pay for transactions.

TQ stats does fantasy football for $69 and you can have up to 30 teams.  I think they are actually a partner with Fanball though.

I'm in again for this year.  I think 12 teams would be fine, but I too think we should pay for transactions.  I think 14 teams would be too many, not many to pick from in the last couple of rounds, unless you want to draft Fran Tarkenton.

Scott:

Can you give Snake a call and see if he is in again?

I'll email Willow Waldo, Jeffy and A-Rod.

Oh.... I agree, Yahoo sucks!

Mayfly: How about prepaying your transaction fees? Just give $10-$15 extra to the commissioner at the draft.

Who wants to be the commissioner; Scott, Leech or Ryan? Are any of you interested?

Haven't heard from him in 6 months.  I would consider him out.

More money for the winner and I think it keeps people from constantly adding and dropping players.

If it is a money issue than just raise the entrance fee.

As far as dropping players and adding them isn't that the fun of the game? Besides a good draft, key drops and pick-ups are what makes the league fun and keeps thing fun and interesting rather than 75% of the teams in the league sitting on their roster.

We need to reserve the BWW soon.  Last year they gave $100 of free food if you held your draft there, we missed out on it because we didn't reserve the place.

Good point.  Whoever is in charge of this league should take care of that soon.  Who is in charge?

Sounds great to me. I nominate you as commissioner.

Is everyone ok with that?

That's fine.  The first game of the season is on Sept 6.  We should probably try to have the draft the last week of August on a Wednesday or Thursday night.  I am free that whole week so whatever everyone decides is fine with me.  Let's try to decide soon though so I can reserve the bar.

Emails have been sent to Jeffy, WillowWaldo and A-Rod.

Spinach
Hedrocks
Scott Pugh
Leech Angler

Are all confirmed and playing again.

I'm not sure about Mayfly yet, he seems to be complaining and whining about the rules AGAIN! Are you in Mcfly?

I got two more players for sure today so there are about 4 spots open right now.  Just so we all know, I am going to schedule the draft for the last Thursday of August.  I'll probably reserve that night with Buffalo Wild Wings this week.

I'm somewhat interested if you have spots left.  I would need to know when the draft is.  I have a couple other leagues that I would have to work around.

TTT - Is the 30th locked down if we get enough?  Trying to plan my other football draft that week.

I'm good for Aug 30th too.

Jeffy045 is in also, i'll ask for another confirmation from him today.

ARod is out, he said he will be too busy to play.

I will call BWW and book our draft for that day then.  We need a minimum of 8 people to show up to qualify for the free food.
