Tuesday 8/28 Report
Today I fished with Ken Grumet, his daughter Urdana and niece Ester who was visiting from NY. Urdana had little fishing experience and Ester had never fished before. I explained to the girls that by the end of the day they would be much better fisherman than they were at the beginning.

Luckly for us the smallies were still chowing heavily just as they were the day before and the girls looked like seasoned veterans within the first hour. We only had to fish 2 spots all day with nonstop action. Almost all the fish caught today were out past the weed lines on the edges of of steep breaks. Today we were focusing on depths of 26 to 37 ft.

We wrapped up the day with 22 legal size smallies and 18 undersize. The smallies were more interested in a super slow retrieve to no movement at all. All of today's fish were released as usual. I never noticed it yesterday but there were 2 bad mud slides on the lake. One on Conference Point and another just west of Linn Pier.

See ya on the water, Lee

Wow nice day of bass fishing.
So are the fish at the top of the breaks or bottom or in between? It would be a blast to fish with you sometime SMG.
Thanks for the report.
