Went out Saturday afternoon for a couple hours. Plenty of sunfish and crappie action. Crappies were caught on jigs, no minnow fishing 1 1/2feet down. Sunnies same or a little deeper. Report from sheriff. A few fights at the dam/channel/pier are about fishing spots and crossed lines lines. People being checked and cited for trolling/fish harassment. See you up there on opener. It's looking good for the fish bite. One incedental walleye over 18".

Knife was ok. Of course the weather cut down on our fishing time. Lot of boats Saturday but fewer on Sunday. I think people got tired of the rain...

I have some friends that bought a lake home on Knife Lake.  I haven't ever fished the lake before, but I will be visiting them this summer.  Where are the best spots to try?

The biggest mistake people make on the lake is they fish too deep. It only gets to 14ft but think shallow and you will find fish.

This is a East Central lake, not the one in northern Minnesota. Pat moved it to here, not sure why. :oops1:

Some of these posts need to be moved to the East central forum. This one was originally posted in the Aitkin forum, I moved everything to the Northern region.

I basically split the state in half and moved them in bulk. I will be moving some more now.
