I had this nice 10 pointer come into the field tonight. He was trying hard to make me move but that was not happening. He gave me quite a few shots that I have to sort through.

Just looking again....Man that is a nice deer!

I also just spent some time going through your pictures on your site. The deer you encounter are amazing!!! Just seeing those monsters in the wild is enough for me. Thanks again for sharing!

Thanks Tim. I have seen bigger Deer on magazine covers and calendars but so many of those Deer are farm raised for photography pourposes. The Deer I shoot are 100% wild and that is the fun part. you just never know what you are going to see. I have been fortunate to see some very nice mature Whitetails. Maybe not true trophys in everybodys book but beautiful animals non the less.

That is exactly why I am so impressed. This particular deer did you just get lucky or were you using scents or have you seen him around??

I am pretty sure he is an 8 pointer from last year but this is the first time I saw him this year. This is about 10 days early for me to see the bigger Bucks. The Does ussually come to the field in the evening and I wait for the Bucks to follow.

Can someone back me up on this and go to Uncle Don's site and look under "Whitetail Deer 2" and then scroll down and look at "Standing Tall and Proud" and tell me if you think that is the same deer?  I know they both were taken in the same field and the way the rack is so rounded just looks to close to not be the same buck.  Don, did you notice this?  My fiance and I have been staring at this for a couple minutes looking at both and I would bet a six pack of that cheap beer my uncle drinks that it is the same deer!  Just had to throw a little dig in their to keep him on his toes since I have not seen him lately...also, Don, with a little luck in about 8 days I should have some fresh doe loins to bring down for a mid afternoon snack!!

Thanks for the back up!  Just don't tell my boss I spend hours studying the pictures on Don's site and was able to see the new picture on this forum (while at work) and think that they looked the same.  Even the white around the eyes looks close and I know that that trait differs from one buck to the other as well.
