I saw this small but healthy looking 8 pointer this morning. I really like the shape an mass of his rack for a young Buck. If he can make it another year he may be a real beauty.

Don,

Nice pictures of this young 8 ptr.  I have a couple questions for you.  Do you go to multiple locations to take your pictures? Or do you take pictures at the same location (year after year).  I am wondering if you go back to the same place the next year and are able to recognize deer from the prior year?  Again, your photos are amazing!

Thanks,
OJ

I have a few spots that I have permission to use for photography but this field is my favorite spot. I like to shoot over a field because the light is better early and late in the day when I do most of my shooting. The woods can get pretty dark for a decent photo. Most times it is easier for me to recognize the Doe's from year to year than it is the Bucks. The Doe's really have individual looks to them once you watch them enough.Once in a while I will recognize a Buck from a previous year.
