Planning on smoking a turkey for the first time on Saturday.  Anybody have any advice???

I use a weber with a tinfoil bowl under the bird to capture and hold all the drippings.And put the charcoal around the perimeter of grill so it heats the collected drippings giving a "wet smoke"  Just got to keep an eye on it and use the dampers so it does not get so hot as to dry out the drip pan

i just brine over nite with salt 1/2 cup in a 5 gal
bucket. rince good, smoke till breast hits 165.
let turkey rest 15 minutes under foil.
