If I had more time (or a place to stay up there) I would be up there 3 nights a week.  Catching 9 fish a few Wednesday's a go was funner then catching 25+ fish on opener.  Depending on weather might try for one last open water trip before early ice.  Maybe the Friday of Thanksgiving!!!  :whistling:

We got home late last night, so i slept until 11:30am. My youngest also has Pneumonia, so i was with him all day today.

Anyways, we ended up hitting the water at 9:30 pm and fished until 12:30 am, it was very slow last night, the wind died about 10pm and the lake was very calm.

My younger sister ended up coming with, so it was me, my dad and sister, the temp got down to 29 degrees, so it was a little cold. We ended up catching and releasing 5 very nice Walleyes, a 25, 26 1/2, 26 1/2, 26 3/4 and a 29 3/4. This is about the same time we always go and this was by far the slowest night that I can remember, we typically average a dozen or more big fish for 2 guys once your lines start freezing up, i think we were 2-3 days early as far as water temps, so this weekend should be great for anyone not deer hunting and fishing the pond.

I caught 3 fish on a rattl Glow Trap in white and my dad caught the other 2 on a Salmo Chubby Darter, it was about 10:30 before our first fish and I landed the biggest one about an hour before we left, unfortunately we had a 2 hour drive home so, we decided to head out and be on the road by 1am.

Make it a night trip if you can, I'll probably make a couple more trips in the next week or 2 myself.
