Metro area lakes fishing report 5-12-06
METRO AREA EAST ? Blue Ribbon Bait & Tackle, Oakdale (651-777-2421) The ?Griz? has been out to the Mississippi and St. Croix this week and is finding saugers starting to spawn with a lot of smaller males being caught. The St. Croix River has been a little slower for walleyes, with a few being caught on nightcrawlers or a jig and minnow. Silver bass have been biting like crazy on the St. Croix. The area's best panfish lakes have been the north end of Bald Eagle and Lake Jane.
