We could use a few deer pictures for the picture of the week on the main page of the site. Please post your pictures here and we will use some of them in the coming weeks.

Any and all pictures are welcomed, as long as they are decent quality pictures, they do not have to be trophy bucks, just nice pictures of the deer you harvested this year.

Not the biggest buck but one of my favorites.  Three generations in that picture with the deer.

You know it Geno.  It sure took longer than I expected and it didn't look as good as the guys who taught my class but I was also rushing since it was about 60 degrees.  I'll have to get another so I can practice some more.

Hey Trip, that's one fine buck.  I wouldn't be surprised if that one IS the big brother.

We had a rather unorthodox deer recovery this year.

Yeah I wanted him to look his best.  Ruby Red is my favorite   :rotflmao:  I'll tell you all the whole story later.  Its a long one but worth it.  For now I gotta go wrap him up for the freezer.

Thanks.   :dancinred:

Nice deer, bet he wont get him mounted if in fact it was a road kill.  Too bad those dandies get distracted so much by the ripe, tasty smell of esterus

Bowhunter73 is both my cousin and my hunting partner. He is new into taxidermy so it was going to be his first real project but a few things changed today. A taxidermist buddy of his is going to use the cape for a replica of goliath and he (bowhunter73) will do his own mount with the antlers. Not sure how he is planning on doing it but i'm sure it will looks nice.

I thought he was a spike until I got up to him on the ground -- he's a 5 pointer.  One tine had been broken off so he WAS a 6.

A week before I shot him, my wife had a dream that I got a 5 pointer.  I told her she was nuts.  A five??  C'mon.  Um  ok -- nevermind.   ;D
