1st Walleye of the year!  I was so excited that I forgot to weigh it, and measure it before I filleted it.  Not a huge fish, but sure was fun.

Nice hat.

I could sure use this gift card my dock needs some repairs! I watched this dead tree coming towards the dock for about 1/2 hour along with a big sheet of ice, but nothing I could do about it.

This is my wife. She got this 50X21 on Lake of the Woods last summer. She caught it on 6 pound test and a jig head. Sure was an exciting fight!!!

A pic of what ice SHOULD look like.  Taken early last year on a clear local lake with about 6" of good ice and a few cracks from the recent cold snap.  I've always liked it:

My size 13 Ice King boots and a bass caught last year. For those of you who dont know, the Ice Kings are a huge boot, and this fish just dwarfed them!

I was out pheasant hunting in Iowa and noticed someone nailed something to the bottom of a Stop sign. Turns out someone took a freshly killed duck, nailed it to a board, then nailed it to the bottom of the sign. Basically crucified the poor thing.

I'm kind of hurt by that comment(s).
You know, not so long ago I posted a very thoughtful story about the value of practicing yoga for sportmen and sportswomen. Much to my surprise - comments were made suggesting that anyone who would make such a suggestion - well, had issues. The next thing I knew someone named Jigglestick posted a new avatar for me featuring a likeness of Richard Simmons of all people.  You can image the anguish I felt. Thinking quickly I knew that the only solution was to come up with something even squirrelier.

And that's how I got my new avatar. Thanks Jigglestick.

By the way there are some very funny comments in that thread - my favorite being something to do with it's o.k. for a man to drive a minivan up to Red Lake if the gas prices are high enough because it's got an internal combustion engine.

Im sorry.  I should have never said your avitar was gross.  Disturbing, unique or maybe something else but not gross.  Now a dead duck nailed to a sign post?   :puke:   Yep, that's gross.

Please don't change your avitar; I was just trying to make a point.

Its gross.  Inhuman.  Beyond sick. Disturbing.....  Someone should call the cops!

Reminds me of Olga Korbut a couple of years after her Olympic Gold performance.

Thank you.  I checked out your web site.  You have some great photos.  I noticed your photos of Shrikes.  I had a couple of them in my bird feeders earlier this winter.  They took a junco or two before moving on.
