Yesterday i got up at 6 and drove to chisago lake and got there at 7. the ice depths were 5-6 inches in about 13 ft of water off the landing about 75-100yds off the landing. fishing was bomb we hammered crappie and northern and bass (the largest bass was my 4 pounder but had to let it go due to the 12in slot limit) =(. we also had bluegill bit well to. towards the end of the night at about 5 we put shiners on the tip ups and ended up catching 2 walleye = ) that pretty much made the day right there. this lake is known to be a great early lake i also think so my self i been fishing it for since i was young.
