Hi Russ and Judy-

All fish houses - portables, permanents, wheel houses, anything - still need to have the owners identification on it.  Identification can be one of three things:  Name/address, drivers license number, or DNR number.  The only time any fish house needs to be licensed (with shelter tag displayed) is when it is left unattended on the ice overnight.  As long as it is occupied, no license is required.  These rules apply to residents and non-residents alike.

Good luck,

Andy

a ? about house license- could you put the rules in laymans terms so everyone understands it--like they need a dnr # but no shelter license- looks like a lot of tickets going out because they don’t understand that rule any better than I do--then I can post it on the forums we go to
thanks Russ&Judy
