This rig functions properly and works well.....however, it has yet to be field tested under extreme cold conditions.....the lights are powered by 3 small watch batteries.

If someone uses this rig during single digit temps or less, please message me of their performance....Thanks

Great idea. I wonder if you could get it to work the other way around. The light doesn't really need to be on the flag, as long as the light goes on when the flag goes up. I might have to stop by Menards today.
