Ok after Months of work and more and more $$$$$ I have fianlly finished the camper to Ice house conversion.  Now all I need is safe ice to drive it out on the lake or finding someone local with an ATV to pull it out with.

I basically used stuff i had around the garage and shed and did the best with what I had. The soffit tin and the marlite was the most expensive stuff to use, plus I goot it locally and paid 2 X what it would have cost me at Loews, but they deliver. Total cost to get it together like I have it was just under $1,000 including the camper.  Got the heater off of craigs list for $85

That looks real nice.  I like the looks of those old rounded roof campers Don't let anyone drop a northern or burbot on your nice rugs  You would be surprised at how fowl carpet smells in the spring.

How sweet it is. Outstanding job MBB.  When do we go into mass production? I can have a crew ready in 48 hrs as long as your providing food and lodging.  :happy1:

I here ya on messing up the rugs.....I am going to use some old rubber car mats in front of the holes in hopes of keeping it nice. A slimy pike would make for a very rank house in the spring!  Its an Old Mid 60's 16 ft travel trailer and it was a mess when I got it.  as far as mass production goes.....NOT! This was a labor of love that is making me crazy cuz I cannot catch fish in it yet due to ice conditions around my place.  It sure is a nice man cave.  Looking forward to using it real soon!  I really enjoyed doing this and would not be afraid of doing it again.

Nice job! Looks reel good except I did notice one thing wrong every good fisherman has in the shack. It's a fish stretcher but I'm shur you plan on adding that later on. ;D

If I can get this rig on the ice soon I am sure that an ice shack BBQ could be arrianged.  The fishings good out here in Amery, or so I am told. Might be worth the drive.  as far as lodging......well your on yer own there, This shacks mine!  The fish stretcher is there I just keep it hidden. Might get stolen ya know.  Thank you all for the comments.  I was pretty nervous when I started thinking I had bitten off more thyan I could chew but now that its done, its worth it.  I made some skirting for it too.  I have it set up in the driveway now and the skirting seems to help a ton with wind not getting underneath it and making yer feet cold. A 28,000 BTU furnace and the fan seem to help too. Good thing I have good venting! It can get to 90 in less than 10 minutes on high.

I put smaller tires on it to get it closer to the ground, i just hope its not too close to the ground for travel, Its not going to far this year.

This will convert to a nice hunting shack and spring/fall camper.  Now that I removed most of the windows it might get too hot in the summer.  I plan on putting bunks in it and I have a connecting panel for the 2 benches turning that into a full size bed.

Here are some more pics.  These are the boxes I made that drop down, I have 3 of these plus to other openings for a camera or vexlar hole.

Here is a few pics of how it looked when I started.

some of the otside before and how it is now.  I have a few things to do on the outside yet but its about 90% done.
