Walleyes are still on the feed in the Bemidji area. Look on Lake Bemidji in 19-26' of water on the shoreline breaks and you're going to find some fish for the fry pan. Other lakes producing include Plantagenette, Blackduck, Cass, and a few smaller lakes in the area. Jigging spoons tipped with shiner heads and floats or deadsticks with a plain hook and shiner are working.

Perch are active through the day in 26-36' of water and some real jumbos are being had on Lake Bemidji. Shallow water is also good on Cass and Blackduck for potbellied perch. Again jigging spoons tipped with minnow heads are outproducing everything else.

Pannies are still a tad tougher to find, fish can be had on shallow weed flats as well as out suspended over the deeper holes in the lake. Custom Jigs and Spins Gill Pills and Diamong Jigs are working great tipped with waxies or euros.

Mobility is key right now, bring the sled or wheeler and a full tank of auger gas!

Good luck!

Sounds good matt.

Saw you coming off the lake the saturday before new years out on Cass.  You were hauling a bunch of people off on a wheeler at about 2 in the afternoon.

Slush sucks.  Good think it is leaving.

Yep, that would've been me! Had to make a few trips on and off to grab people!

Fishing was slower that day, we kept 4 walleyes and a dozen or so perch. Lots of moving for what we got!
