Still cold for us here
11:30am  still at  -16 °F  / -26.7 °C

Bitterly cold Arctic air combined with west-northwest winds of
5 to 15 mph... will continue to produce wind chill values of 25 to
40 below zero across the Northland this morning. Wind chill values
this low can be life threatening... causing frostbite to occur in
5 to 10 minutes and possibly leading to hypothermia.

Wind chills will still be cold this afternoon... but warm a bit to
15 to 25 below zero. Another Wind Chill Advisory will likely be
needed tonight into Monday morning... as wind chill values drop
into the 25 to 40 below zero range once again.

Ahhh winter... the sound of snow crunching under foot. The heart straining sound of an engine trying to start but screaming out till the battery dies and then  all that is left is a clicking sound and  the smashing of mitten hands on a hard frozen plastic steering wheel. A half empty frozen pop can in a holder and so many clothes on you have to slide in sideways to get behind the wheel. Awww winter, don't you love it

Living up north is great, even in sub zero weather. :toast:

But I draw the line when you have a 10 mph (or more) wind accompanying it. :banghead:

-29 in Ely this morning, balmy! :happy1:
