ALEXANDRIA ? Christopherson?s Bait & Tackle, Dana Freese, 2 blocks east of Big Ole, (320-763-3255) Walleye fishing has been very good on Lake Mary. The good news for this area is the bigger lakes have finally turned on including Ida, Carlos and Miltona. 10 to 15 feet of water on cloudy days or 15-20 feet of water on sunny days. Leeches and crawlers have been the best baits. Crappies have been consistent, with most fish still spawning, tube jigs; flu flu?s with a waxworm or minnow have been best. Northerns are biting in 10-12 feet of water on Sucker minnows.
