1-30-08  People who have spent the night on the lake report great bite all night, and all day yesterday for that matter.   28' netted them a bunch of 13" crappies.  Seems the bite is turning back on in the daytime, after a solid night bite for a few weeks.  We are seeing many northern from the shallower depths, smelt and the large sucker minnows...they are coming up right under the holes, just a couple feet down, if that.  Shiners are temporarily out of stock..fatties for the walleye.  Yellows, red/yellows

ADULT ENTERTAINMENT area..If you live in the area, todays Star has an article about where the designated adult businesses will be allowed in Chisago County.  One of the three proposed sites is Rush Point.  A talk with one of the Chisago people who drew the map has told us that our location is pretty much out of contention because of the proximity to the town hall and church.  For everyone who was concerned after the article, the meeting is at Chisago County on Feb. 7.  Guess I'll return all the red light bulbs, and the special "WE SELL LIVE (Naked)BAIT SIGNS"!

Real Estate News.  Incredible First Time Buyer money and rates being pumped into the market.  If you have a kid, or want to buy, this is the best time ever.  Rates even for regular purchases are soooo low, and the deals on houses with land are unheard of.   I am working with several buyers now, it's time to buy, call now and be moved in the spring.
