DNR stocks Rainbow Trout!

Rainbow Trout stocked in Manuel Pit Lake - Brainerd Dispatch MN.
 

DNR Fisheries Management Specialist Owen Baird releases some of the 100 Rainbow Trout into the Manuel Pit Lake in the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area Friday, February 8.

A total of 100 fish hatchery brood stock were released through a hole in the ice by DNR fisheries personnel.

The fish ranged from 1-5 pounds and were surplus brood stock from the Spire Valley State Fish Hatchery.

The trout season opens on May 11 with the state fishing opener and the popular fishing lake will have some additional quarry for fishermen this spring.

It's a 400 yard walking path to the lake from the parking lot....not sure if DDS could make the trek....  :scratch:
